  • Each spring students from MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine organize and run the Vetavisit program.

  • MSU students, including CRC interns and Greeks, partner with EL to clean up neighborhoods after home football games.

  • Graduate students from MSU’s linguistics and languages department organize and teach an English as a Second Language course for EL residents.

  • President Simon invited the presidents of EL neighborhoods to campus for a guided tour, an update on the university’s master plan, and dinner in one of the residence halls.

  • LATTICE links 17 mid-Michigan school districts with international students and faculty at MSU to support a global perspective.

  • The East Lansing Kiwanis Club hosts an international student reception each year to welcome international students to the community.

  • MSU’s Community Volunteers for International Programs (CVIP) helps increase international understanding between the EL community and visitors from other countries.

  • The Honors College at MSU offers programs such as Mathematics, Science, and Technology for high-achieving precollege students in the community.

  • MSU Broadcasting Services webcasts EL city council meetings.

  • The EL Art Festival and the MSU Arts and Crafts Show are planned to occur on the same weekend in May, with collaboration on advertising and other services.
